Product Introduction
430 Stainless Steel Plate is one of the most widely used ferritic stainless steels. It provides a practical, cost-effective solution for applications requiring good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments, combined with appealing aesthetics and magnetic properties.
As a ferritic grade, its microstructure is fundamentally different from the more common austenitic steels (like 304). This grants it several key advantages: higher thermal conductivity, lower thermal expansion, and superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking. It is also magnetic in all conditions. Its most significant limitation compared to austenitic grades is reduced ductility and poorer weldability. However, its lower cost (due to the absence of nickel) makes it the preferred choice for numerous indoor and decorative applications where the superior corrosion performance of 304 is not strictly necessary.
