Product Introduction
904L Stainless Steel Plate is a premium super austenitic stainless steel designed for the most aggressive corrosive environments. Recognized by its high nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and copper content, it is the material of choice for handling hot sulfuric, phosphoric, and organic acids where common grades like 316L are insufficient.
Its defining feature is a very low carbon content, coupled with a balanced, high alloy composition. This provides outstanding resistance to general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking (SCC), especially in chloride and sulfuric acid containing media. 904L maintains good weldability and formability, and is approved for use in pressure vessel construction.
