Product Introduction
316 stainless steel is a molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless steel widely regarded as the industry standard for superior corrosion resistance. The key addition of 2-3% Molybdenum (Mo) significantly enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in chloride and marine environments, earning it the nickname "marine-grade stainless".
This alloy maintains excellent toughness, ease of fabrication, and welding properties, along with good strength at elevated temperatures. It is the preferred material for critical applications where corrosion resistance and structural integrity are paramount in harsh chemical, marine, and high-temperature environments.
