Product Introduction
The alloy's defining characteristic is its extremely high alloy content—particularly chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen—resulting in a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) greater than 40. This provides exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive chloride-containing environments such as seawater, brine, and chemical process streams. Coupled with yield strength at least double that of standard austenitic stainless steels like 316L, 2507 enables the design of lighter, stronger, and longer-lasting equipment for the most demanding offshore, chemical, and energy applications
