Product Introduction

347 Stainless Steel Bar is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel specifically engineered for superior intergranular corrosion resistance in welded components and high-temperature service. By adding columbium (niobium) at a minimum of 10 times the carbon content, 347 effectively prevents chromium carbide precipitation in the sensitization temperature range (425-900°C), making it the material of choice for bar applications involving welding, brazing, or high-temperature service where standard 304 stainless steel bar would suffer from weld decay. This stabilization approach provides reliable performance in corrosive environments while maintaining excellent mechanical properties across a wide temperature range.
