2507 Super Duplex Stainless Steel Bar represents the premium class of duplex stainless steels in bar form, offering exceptional corrosion resistance combined with very high mechanical strength. With a balanced microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite, 2507 provides approximately double the yield strength of conventional austenitic stainless steels while delivering corrosion resistance that surpasses even 6% molybdenum austenitic grades in many aggressive environments. This super duplex grade is specifically engineered for the most demanding applications in offshore oil and gas, chemical processing, desalination, and marine environments where chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion pose significant challenges.

Available in rounds, squares, flats, hexagons, and special shapes, 2507 duplex stainless steel bar combines the highest level of corrosion resistance in the duplex family with excellent mechanical properties. Its high alloy content—25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum, and 0.3% nitrogen—provides a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) of 42-45, making it suitable for seawater, chlorinated water, and aggressive chemical environments that would rapidly degrade lower-alloy materials. The balanced microstructure ensures natural resistance to stress corrosion cracking while maintaining good toughness and weldability with proper procedures.
