410 Stainless Steel Coil is a versatile martensitic stainless steel that combines moderate corrosion resistance with excellent mechanical properties and heat treatability. As the most widely used martensitic stainless steel, 410 offers a balanced combination of corrosion resistance, strength, hardness, and affordability that makes it ideal for applications requiring wear resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, or specific mechanical properties achievable through heat treatment. Unlike austenitic grades (304, 316), 410 is magnetic and can be hardened through heat treatment, reaching hardness levels up to 45 HRC.

Supplied in continuous coil form, 410 stainless steel provides manufacturers with a cost-effective solution for applications where the corrosion resistance of austenitic grades is unnecessary but higher strength and hardness are required. Its martensitic structure allows for significant property enhancement through heat treatment, making it suitable for cutting tools, mechanical components, and wear-resistant applications. The grade maintains good corrosion resistance in mild environments while offering mechanical properties superior to most austenitic stainless steels in the hardened condition.
