Product Introduction
304L Stainless Steel Coil is a low-carbon variation of the classic 304 grade, specifically designed to minimize carbide precipitation during welding and high-temperature processing. With a maximum carbon content of 0.03%, this grade prevents the formation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries, thereby eliminating "sensitization" and maintaining optimal corrosion resistance in the heat-affected zones of welded structures. This makes it the preferred choice for applications requiring extensive welding, post-weld annealing, or exposure to corrosive environments where intergranular corrosion is a concern.
Supplied in continuous coil form, 304L offers the same excellent balance of corrosion resistance, formability, and toughness as standard 304, but with enhanced weldability and intergranular corrosion resistance. Its lower carbon content ensures stability and durability in welded assemblies, making it ideal for heavy-gauge components, chemical containers, and architectural structures where welding integrity and long-term corrosion resistance are paramount.
