Nickel-Chromium-Iron Superalloy (Solid-Solution Strengthened)

Distinguished from stainless steel by its high nickel content for superior corrosion and heat resistance.

Seamless Pipe (SMLS) & Welded Pipe

• Seamless: Higher pressure rating, uniform structure.
• Welded: Cost-effective for larger diameters, lower pressures.

Choice depends on pressure, corrosion service, and budget. Seamless is preferred for critical service.

High Nickel (Ni) provides inherent corrosion resistance. Chromium (Cr) confers oxidation resistance.

Tensile Strength (Rm): 550 - 690 MPa
Yield Strength (Rp0.2): 240 - 345 MPa
Elongation (A): ≥ 30%

Melting Range: 1370 - 1425 °C
Max Continuous Service Temp: 1175°C (2150°F) in oxidizing atmospheres.

Key Corrosion Resistance

• Excellent resistance to oxidation at high temperatures.

• Excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking.

• Good resistance to corrosion by high-purity water, organic acids, and alkalis.

Ideal for heat exchangers in chloride environments and nuclear steam generator tubing.

Welded Pipe: ASTM B516 / ASME SB-516, ASTM B517 / ASME SB-517 (Welded)

ASTM B167 is the primary spec for seamless pipe. B516/B517 cover welded.

Compatible with ASTM B366 wrought fittings (elbows, tees, reducers). Excellent weldability using matching filler (ERNiCr-3).
