Designed for high-temperature structural performance rather than aqueous corrosion resistance.

Common Forms

Seamless Pipe (SMLS) is the primary form. Welded pipe is less common due to high-temperature performance requirements.

High Cr for oxidation resistance. Mo, Co, and controlled C contribute to solid-solution strength and carbide formation for high-temperature stability.

Compatible with ASTM B366 wrought fittings. Good weldability using Hastelloy X welding products (e.g., HASTELLOY® X Filler Metal).

Can be fabricated into complete high-temperature piping and ducting systems.
